Model United Nations is an extra-curricular activity in which students role-play delegates to the United Nations, and simulate UN committees.
What are the benefits of participating in AMSIMUN?
AMSIMUN is the first step students may take to join the MUN club in their schools. It keeps you aware of what's happening around the world. Being a delegate in AMSIMUN gives you a chance to improve your confidence, as well as your public speaking skills.
Is there a dress code for the conference?
International business attire is the mandatory dress code for the conference. Delegates are prohibited from wearing flashy accessories. Male delegates must be in a full suit, or choose to wear the kandora, while female delegates are required to dress modestly or wear the abaya.
Do I need previous experience to participate in AMSIMUN?
No, for many delegates, AMSIMUN is their first conference, and students of all skill levels are welcome!
