International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Chairs:
Sara Zaid Kasem
A junior at Al Mawakeb Al Barsha, Sara Kasem’s growing love for debate extends far before her Model United Nations (MUN) journey began in seventh grade. Her passion for debate grew larger and larger with every coming year. She believes that MUN is not just about debating; however, it is about meeting new people, making connections, and forming long-lasting friendships. Through her MUN experience, she developed her awareness of global issues and became a confident, knowledgeable, and compassionate person, prepared to face the challenges of a world that is always changing. Her passions do not end at politics. Sara has also been a guitarist for the past 8 years and has a profound love for volleyball. She is thrilled to be chairing the eighth edition of AMSIMUN in April after delegating the conference yearly since the seventh grade, and she can’t wait to see everyone in committee!
Ammar AlAlawi
Ammar Alalawi is a 16-year-old at Al Mawakeb Garhoud. As a student who has been actively participating in Model United Nations (MUN) since the ninth grade, Ammar began to have a passion for debate, diplomacy, and engaging discussions. He is thrilled to be chairing the eighth edition of AMSIMUN taking place in April! Ammar is eager to see delegates bring their best arguments, negotiate strategically, and make this committee a dynamic and memorable experience. He looks forward to an exciting conference filled with diplomacy, critical thinking, and collaboration!
