Layan Samhouri
Layan is a senior at AlMawakeb Al Barsha and she is thrilled to be chairing AMSIMUN. Her love for MUN began in the eighth grade where she unexpectedly decided to audition for a spot in YMUN. This was single-handedly the best decision Layan has ever made, not only because it expanded her knowledge on research and public speaking, but mainly because of the unforgettable memories that she had made throughout the years. Delegating in AMSIMUN has been a core memory in her life that will never be forgotten, and she hopes that she can make this conference a core memory for you all. She can’t wait to see what you guys have in store for us!
Alia Al Muallem
Alia Al Muallem is a senior at Al Mawakeb Al Khawaneej and will be one of the chairs in the PBC committee at AMSIMUN's 8th edition this year. Having been involved in Model United Nations since 9th grade, she has developed a deep passion for diplomacy, debate, and global affairs. Though initially hesitant to join MUN, the experience has greatly shaped her leadership, public speaking, and critical thinking skills. Alia is excited to take on this role and looks forward to facilitating engaging discussions and guiding delegates through a successful and enriching conference.
