United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Chairs:
Ghala Alkubaisi
Ghala Alkubaisi began her Model United Nations (MUN) journey in the seventh grade with YMUN, inspired by her older brother’s passion for international affairs. Now a dedicated chair participating in AMSIMUN, she firmly believes in the transformative power of small, positive actions. Currently a senior at AMB, Ghala is committed to using the MUN platform to foster global change, beginning with her immediate community. Her philosophy is simple: every small act of kindness can create significant, lasting impacts, embodying her vision for a better world, one deed at a time. She looks forward to meeting all her delegates and embracing fruitful debates in the 8th edition of AMSIMUN!
Meriem Khadhaouria
Meriem Khadhaouria is a junior at Al Mawakeb Al Garhoud. She has been participating in Model United Nations (MUN) since grade 7, starting with junior and AMSI conferences online and progressing to real in-person university conferences like those at AUS and AUD MUN. Through MUN, she has learned valuable skills such as public speaking, diplomacy, research, and critical thinking. One of her passions is MUN, and she loves how it continuously teaches her new things and helps her grow. Even the shyest people in the world can see a new side of themselves in MUN, and it has played a big part in building her personality. She hopes that MUN can have a similar effect on everyone else in school and to take that knowledge with them outside to the real world.
